a senior portrait session that's

fun, laid-back, and easy?!

Consistently beautiful images packed with variety

Our communications leading up to your session will give me insight into who you really are. In turn, I’ll have a great idea of your personality...what you love about life and what you want your session to be. Your end result? Images with originality and fun that represent YOU. This is the greatest year of your high school life. Don’t end up with senior photos like everyone else. Choose a photographer who’s fun, produces consistently fantastic images and shows of your amazing personality.

Those studio sessions that your high school requires for the yearbook? So boring!

After all, this is YOUR year! Why spend it in a chain studio with photographers who know nothing about you?

A photographer who’s original, just like you. As it turns out? I just happen to know one.

I get it, there are a lot of photographers to choose from, aren’t there? How do you know which one you should choose so that you’re sure you stand out? How can a total stranger pull out your unique personality in images? A little intimidating, isn’t it? As your senior photographer, I’ll get to know you and your interests so that nothing but YOU shines through the end result. Working with me is so easy and relaxed that you’ll feel like you’re hanging out with one of your buddies. Okay, so I’m much older than your buddies, but I’m totally cool I pinky promise that.

Working with me is easy.

It’s effortlessly enjoyable.

Hi there! I’m Melissa.

I’ve been photographing seniors for 8 years. I have four girls, 1 of which is a senior right this very minute. Know what that means? That means I can relate to you. Even more because I was once a senior myself. Now how ‘bout that? I know just how to get you relaxed in front of the camera and help you put your best face forward. I’d love to discuss your vision for your senior session and deliver gorgeous images of this important (and fun!) time in your life.

get to know me better!

Sound like fun to you, too?

I only book 2 seniors a month and those spots fill up super quickly so don’t wait!

Melissa has a great eye and was so easy to work with. Her laid back style put my teenage son at ease and brought out his true personality in the photos. Also loved that she let us incorporate the car to make our session unique to us!

Addison’s senior session with Melissa was nothing short of fun and easy. We absolutely loved how the pictures turned out and Melissa is such a joy to be around. I definitely recommend her! Thank you Melissa!!

Come to your session with hair and makeup ready. Bring along hairspray, clips or bobby pins that may be useful during your session. Also, please avoid too much sun or spray tans the week before we meet. However, if you choose Package 3? I’ve got hair and makeup covered for you!

What about hair and makeup?

Do you play an instrument? Bring that! Perhaps you’ve already decided that you’re heading off to college, don’t forget to bring something that represents that choice. Maybe it’s a t-shirt or a pennant flag. It’s a fun way to announce to everyone what your plans are after graduation. Have a cool car? Let’s plan around that!

What should I bring?

03.

Of course! This is a very special time in the best year of your school career. It’s important to you, but it’s also pretty high up there on your parents’ list, too! Trust me, having my own senior, I want to witness all of these fun milestones with her. Don’t worry, mom won’t be there to pose or fix hair or makeup, she’ll just be a fly on the wall and tearing up while reminiscing about when you first learned to walk.

Should my parents come?

02.

This is the most common question I get from seniors and parents! The answer is simple, just wear what you like. I will give you loads of ideas and examples to help you choose. Items to consider? Fun hats, flowy dresses, layers, neutrals and pops of color. Items to avoid are big logos and clothing that doesn’t fit you well. School sports uniforms are always fun, too!
